We are very happy to announce the DVD release of “Celebrating the Divine in Vienna” – the second film of our documentary series!
Following in the footsteps of “Celebrating the Divine in the Holy Land” conductor Maarten van Leer takes “The International Choir and Orchestra for Peace” once again on tour.
150 singers and musicians from around the world perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Mass in B minor” in Vienna’s beautiful Minoritenkirche and use the transformative power of music to touch the souls of all mankind.
Maarten comments and explains the musical structure, intentions and emotions, which lie at the very core of Bach’s masterpiece. We also learn about the history of the Caravan of Peace from its inception in 1995 to the present day.
Filmmaker Keith Surridge has directed and produced this documentary using vibrant and moving images to create a tightly knit and impressive mosaic as his contribution towards the “Caravan of Peace” and their message of universal peace and mutual understanding.
This documentary is part of the society “International Choir and Orchestra for Peace” and the proceeds will help fund the next journey!
