Throughout Germany, Europe and the UK, you kept us on our toes with a wide array of thrilling projects that involved our talented camera crews and top-notch production services. Not only did you request full-blown camera crews, but you also regularly sought out individual crew members to support your production. Your kind words of praise and continued support have fueled our determination to provide incredible production services and camera crews. We have had an immense amount of joy and poured our hearts and souls into making the impossible possible, always going the extra mile. Our passion for filmmaking shined through in the exceptional results we achieved, and it is this dedication that keeps you coming back to us.
In 2023 we crewed up more than a 100 shoots all over Germany and Europe – from Sweden to Vienna, from Paris to Prague. We supplied a crew for a large games developer for a week of Gamescom action and kicked off the NFL season at the Frankfurt stadium for an American TV programme. We edited stories about women in tech, we promoted some exciting news in the medical field. We shot hundreds of gigabytes worth of footage and our photographers covered lots of big events. It was truly an incredible year and we cannot wait for what’s to come next!

Celebrating Surridge Films & Camera Crew Germany’s 30th anniversary
As 2023 marks a big anniversary, we want to take this as an opportunity to look back at the last 30 years and all the incredible projects we were lucky to take part in. As the first crewing company in Germany to provide local, bilingual crews for clients from all over the world, Camera Crew Germany has since become a household name for experienced, talented and friendly crews.
Back in 1993, Keith Surridge, founder of Surridge Films, recognised the need for camera crews who understand English and can anticipate the demands of the customer while also providing local knowledge, being creative and self-driven.
Since then, we have developed into Germany’s and Central Europe’s go-to source for camera crews and production services. Our clientele consists of large international corporations, brands big and small, production companies, creative agencies and TV channels. We have established mutually beneficial partnerships with all of them by maintaining a professional yet approachable demeanour. Some of our customers have been with us from the very beginning!
The film industry is always subject to onstant change: new trends, developing technology and our clients’ quick changes in expectations. As a result, we must continuously be able to adjust to these needs and new requirements. Whether we have to set up remote shoots for clients overseas, have demands for FPV drones, or have a crew with VR experience – being prepared for all of these tasks has become essential to our work. Additionally, a crucial aspect of the work is anticipating and comprehending the needs and creative vision of the clients. This enables us to match them with the ideal crews and provide them with the precise equipment they want.
Returning customers frequently seek to work with the same DOP or assistant again for a new shoot since they enjoyed working with them so much and were impressed with both their work ethics and their creative approaches. This is a fantastic compliment to our work and perfect testimony that distinguishes us from other companies.
Celebrating our 30th anniversary is evidence that there is still a need for our extremely valuable crews. There is a greater need than ever for bilingual camera operators, sound recordists, and other professionals with experience and creativity!
